Welcome to Issue 0021
Time sure does fly! Only a month left until Zimstravaganza officially begins in San Francisco on March 13th. We are excited to celebrate this momentous occasion with our colleagues and friends, at HIP and from around the world. The first two full tables are already booked for Dr. Zimbardo's Birthday Dinner so if you are interested in coming, now is the time to book! You can RSVP via our website at the bottom of this email or through the Eventbrite link below. For those of you that can't come but would still like to support HIP's work, you can donate through the Eventbrite link. Simply choose "Donate to HIP" under the tickets section.
Unfortunately, there has been a slight change in the event schedule. Due to low attendance, the Hero Round Table event has been canceled. We are committed to providing exceptional events that meet the expectations of both speakers and attendees, but unfortunately this year we did not receive enough interest to make the event possible. If you would have liked to have come to HRTSF2023 please let us know at our email address and your interest will be taken into account for future events.

The study examines the associations between moral disengagement, gender, bullying, and pro-aggressive bystander behavior in the context of school bullying. The results suggest that the difference between acting as a bully and a pro-aggressive bystander could be related to different mechanisms of moral disengagement, and that gender is important to consider when studying the association between moral disengagement and aggression. The results highlight the importance of moral disengagement mechanisms in the design of prevention and intervention programs. The study suggests that teachers and other school staff can play a role in helping students understand the process of moral disengagement and how it contributes to bullying and other antisocial behaviors.
